Being a stay at home wife/mom/homemaker is not for the faint of heart. Your husband and children will constantly try your nerves and patience, but that is the time to turn to God. I find myself constantly having to take a pause and turn to the Word to center myself. My children (especially my youngest) always try to find new ways to get on my nerves and test my patience, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Thankfully, I have a great partner that they listen to well.Today has been going pretty well. I woke up and went to the store to get the kids some cereal for breakfast. I normally cook for them in the mornings, but sometimes they want to have a fast and easy breakfast. While I was at the store, I got a wild bird feeder and seed for them. I think that the kids will enjoy seeing birds from the window.Since we live in an apartment, I was only able to hang the feeder on the porch off of a wire that was there from the last tenants, so hopefully that won't hinder the bird visitors.Last year, they built a nest and had their babies in the corner of our porch roof. However, maintenance came and knocked down the nest with the baby birds inside, and left them in the yard. When we got home, we saw the babies and tried to take care of them ourselves, but they ended up passing away that night. So sad.We have some plants outside that I have been tending to. We have 2 four o'clock plants and 1 African marigold flower that my son started growing at school. They seem to be growing fairly well, however, the 2 four o'clock plants have some brown spots on them. I started using the "Plant Parent" app today to learn how to better take care of them and learned that I need to water them less, remove the bad spots, give them anti fungal spray and start giving them fertilizer. I am super new to this plant mom life, and every other plant that I have tried to ever have has died. I'd say that I've always had a "brown thumb." But, I'd say that I am doing better, and hopefully with this app, I can keep my kids plants alive. LOL!
